Fantasy5live partners with the European Rugby League Federation

Fantasy sports and marketing site Fantasy5live has agreed a partnership with the European Rugby League Federation for the upcoming European Rugby League championship.

The Irish based company will provide a fantasy game for the tournament,  beginning with the opening clash between Scotland and Wales in Derwent Park Stadium, Workington.

The game will cover all games for the four team tournament which in addition to Scotland and Wales, also features Ireland and current world number four, France.

The winner of the tournament will qualify for a place in the 2016 Four Nations Series.

Based in the Enterprise and Research in Carlow IT, in the South East of Ireland, Fantasy5live aims to help clubs engage and interact better with their fans through real-time event based fantasy games. The company works with football and rugby clubs on branded fantasy solutions and has a partnership in place with Infostrada sports, which provides real-time statistics.

Fantasy5live.com founder and managing director, Trevor Keane, commented: “We are thrilled to be working with the European Rugby league. The Federation is dedicated to raising the profile of the rugby league in Europe and works tirelessly to achieve this goal. We hope that our fantasy game solution can help them reach out to an even wider audience”

A spokesperson from the European Rugby league Federation added "We're pleased to be working in partnership with Fantasy5Live and hope that all fans of Rugby League will get involved with this game and the European Championships as a whole"
