Tuesday’s matches at #WRWC2017 highlighted the points we made in our Ireland v France writeup, only now we know we’re outside the top six not four. The Irish girls showed improvement with the ball, scoring impressive early tries and getting late production from the bench, but possession was rare and we simply could not handle the Australians’ own improvement from the previous meeting - their power, carrying, offloading and clearing out were far superior. A thorough systems review is required.
