EXETER CHIEFS 42-29 BATH

Most teams kick for territory after 10 midfield phases but Exeter grind 10 more until a gap is found; this comfortable win stretching their Premiership lead to 9pts justifies it.  With 246 tackles to make it wasn’t just the visitors’ gear showing black and blue...when they eventually got one try the champions had five.  Short and Waldrom impressed while Nowell and Simmonds adorned the bench.  A late Bath rally pinched a bonus as the Chiefs were contemplating Leinster’s impending arrival.
