Online comments after Leinster v Connacht

A selection of the “keyboard warrior” reactions after the full-time whistle of our featured matches of the weekend.

If you’d like to contribute stay tuned to
our Facebook page for our “Feel free to leave your thoughts…” posts which show up around full time after Leinster & Ireland matches.

Derek McGee Absolute floodlight robbery by Leinster (I'll take it though!). Connacht would have been excellent value for a win but I think key injuries did for them in the end. Leinster uncharacteristically sloppy in defence & particularly porous right up the middle. Have to give props (ahem) to Andrew Porter, not just for the try but for the energy he brought to the game. Huge ball carrying and a near pathological need to smash into anything and anyone who got in his way. One of the best games I've attended at the RDS in a long time, all the same: cracking atmosphere, even when the scoreboard was ticking in the wrong direction.

David Lawlor I will (leave my thoughts) when my defibrillator kicks in.....

Lian McGuire Cracking, cracking game. Am Leinster through and through, and heart was pounding at the end, but even I felt a little sorry for Connacht, they played some beautiful stuff. Friend has them buzzing again and its great to see.

Paul Smith Carlsberg don't do comebacks but if they did. Fantastic finish by the boys in blue. ๐Ÿ’™

Colin Campbell Fair play to Connacht they put it up to us. Porter is a beast of a player who single handedly drove us on in the last 15. Ross Byrne is getting better and better.

John Peeters Even with many second string players vs what was ostensibly a first choice Connacht side, we still win!!!! CHAMPIONES #4Stars#Pro14Champs

Conor Cronin There is immense satisfaction in watching your team, who should be done and out of it, fight back like that. To put in solid grit and determination and grind out the victory, and snatch it from the laws of defeat... That shows character. I don't know who stood up and told his teammates that it wasn't good enough, but someone made them take note. What a victory. Hard luck to a connacht, they had done the work for more than 2 points

Greta McAllister Heartbroken. What a game.

Noel Hewson Stole it, Connaught played some great attacking rugby and carved open Leinster very easily at times. Stunning last 10 minutes and a lot of credit to the players for not giving up. Plenty of lessons in this for the younger guys.

Sean Michaels Connacht players must feel like I did when I was told that Santa wasn’t real, heartbreaking

Garry Wynne The Leinster young blood grew some hair on their chest in this hard fought win. Connacht playing great rugby and only lacking from the bench.

Bob Allely Sorry Connacht didn;t hold on - but a great advertisement for Irish rugby!

Gerald Williamson That was a game of rugby for thrills, spills and tries. The difference was the impact of the Leinster subs. In a sense what was Lenister's gain, was Connacht's loss. At least Connacht

had the consolation of getting 2 losing bonus points.

Kathryn Keegan ๐Ÿ’™ well played Connacht

Kevin Kelly That was unbelievable rugby what a comeback from Leinster the sign of true champions the amount of phases for that last try reminded me of Ireland plating France in the 6 nations unbelievable possession hard luck Connaught

Dave Murray What a comeback and bench impact.

Andy Crawford Our bench made a difference theirs the opposite. Bizarre game, they killed us for 65 minutes.

George Larkin ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Alan Eastwood Connacht will b sick. They put everything into the Game. Some team Leinster tbf. Bench on both sides told a lot. Connacht heading in the right direction again ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿปafter a couple of bad seasons. ✅
