Ulster’s offseason

A brief look at how the Ulstermen are getting through the summer months by Kristian Ross…

Very little to report from the Ulster Rugby side of things this week as it truly has been a very slow news week so far.

Pre season is however underway and many of the players have been posting via social networking sites about being back and training hard for the upcoming campaign.

News includes that Blane McIlroy is leaving the club (via the IRFU website) and that Sean O’Connell has returned to London Irish following two years at the province. Currently there is no new news of any more Ulster signings for next season.

The biggest news comes in the form of the Heineken Cup fixtures in which Montpellier released their games before the official ERC announcement which has now been put back to next week.

But it means that Ulster now know that they will face Montpellier in France on Saturday 19th October and that they will play the home fixture against the Top 14 side over the weekend of the 10th January. I'm just itching to see it all get started now....

Stand Up For The Ulstermen

I'm Kristian. 19. And my mind is filled with rugby shaped thoughts. Supporting Ulster Rugby, Newcastle Falcons and of course the mighty Ireland. Tommy Bowe is the MAN !!!! SUFTUM.
