England 19-14 France (8-0-review)

France looked the more settled side on paper and started brightly, but England took the spoils thanks to three decent finishes by their starting wingers. The English media was drawn towards Burgess but it was his fellow debutante in the centre Henry Slade who impressed more. The French D was suspect but their pack was strong on set-pieces, with an Ouedraogo try off a maul making the final quarter close. A far, far cry drama-wise from their meeting last March.
