I'm utterly heartbroken.

How do we fix this? The only thing that can fix this would be a sea change in how we resource the women's game.
I'm crying now a but a revolution starts tomorrow.#IREvSCO
So sorry for the Irish Women’s rugby team. We all know the blood, sweat and now tears that goes in. Sacrifice after sacrifice and utterly let down repeatedly by the powers that be.

Thank you #coygig
There'll be time for analysis of the performances and hard questions later of the IRFU, but for now just gutted for the players. Missing out on a World Cup will be devastating for a team who really are capable of more. Huge credit to Scotland - what a finish. Gah. https://t.co/qWI03isSIT

Absolutely gutted for the girls- heartbreaking after all the hard work they’ve put in. No one outside that group will fully appreciate how much they’ve sacrificed and the disappointment they’ll be feeling right now 😔 https://t.co/4U9YJQCZQH

Irish rugby may be well funded but its obviously not going to the women's game. The commitment of these women can't be questioned but where's the support when you look at the Connacht changing area debacle. What can we do as supporters to change the mindset of the IRFU.

It would break your heart looking at the Irish women’s team after that defeat! The effort and sacrifice they make is incredible and I think it’s very fair to say not enough is done for them!!the powers to be need to do more IMO!

A dark day for Irish rugby. If this isn't a watershed moment, there'll never be one.

The players and coaches are devastated and will know that their own mistakes cost them dear, but it's unconscionable that a nation as well-funded can be allowed to miss out on the World Cup
What bottle by Sarah Law at the end for Scotland.

When you zoom out, Ireland missing the World Cup should — *should* — spark change for the better. But devastated for those players who have put so much into it, several of them for a long time and one or two for the last time.
Absolutely gutted for the girls ☹️

Congrats to the Scots & Italy#IREvSCO
Very happy with that. BP, clean sheet in the try column, lots of new things tried out, pretty much all of it working a treat. Strong message sent out to the rest of the #URC that we're not giving up our title lightly.#LEIvBUL
