Online comments after Leinster v Bulls/Ireland v Scotland

A selection of the “keyboard warrior” reactions after the full-time whistle of our featured matches of the weekend.

If you’d like to contribute stay tuned to our Facebook page for our “Feel free to leave your thoughts…” posts which show up around full time after Leinster & Ireland matches.

NOTE : This post normally features Facebook posts & tweets following a particular game.  But since both Leinster v Bulls and Ireland v Scotland were practically played at the same time, we felt that to simply post the reactions from those watching one of them wouldn't truly capture the feeling of the Irish rugby family at that time.

Paul Smith How good is it to be playing in front of fans again. Some nice rugby played by Leinster today, VDF, Ruddock and Mcgrath were superb. Some moves didn't come off but that's down to first games rustiness. The scoreline flattered us but some superb defending ensured there was a 0 in the tries against us column. A BP win in the first game is all we could have asked for, great to hit the ground running.

Gav Heg (reply to Paul Smith) I don't think the scoreline flattered us, I think it flattered them. We should of had the Bp done before half time. Ruddock, McGrath, sheahan, all immense. Vdf pure class. Great to see porter excel @1 and Healy have a go @3! Great to see live rugby but the stadium management was all wrong. No room for distancing.

Conor Cronin Rusty performance, and certainly not clinical enough close to the line, but you take the BP win and build. Great seeing a crowd there, and great seeing so many players put their hands up.

Gerald Williamson Great to get the bonus point win in first game of new season. Was disappointed with the Bulls which made Leinster look good. VDF well deserved MOTM. Fair play to Porter switching from no 3 to No1. I believe we are going to see a lot more of him.

Ivor Geraghty We could have scored a few more tires but for small margins. The Bulls knew it too and were shocked.

Noel Hewson Great to be back and see the guys in person. VDF and Ringrose were sharp. Hugo Keenan’s lines of attack are class looking forward to seeing him continue to develop.

Lorcán Murphy scrum got on top of theirs in the end game. Worth seeing him play first 60

Many thanks to all who offered opinions.

Look out Monday for our match writeup JLP
