Online comments after Glasgow v Leinster

Derek McGee A great result on what hasn't been the happiest hunting ground in the past. A good first half performance but really moved through the gears in the second half to put it to bed. A special mention for Ross Molony who got through a mountain of work & brings some real edge to the pack, as well as some strategically deployed niggle too! Also, like any 70s exploitation flick, the battle of the hookers is great to watch 😏

Paul Smith 31 points, 4 tries, BP away to probably the best team in the league outside of Ireland, what's not to like ? Nice battle between our 2 hookers as to who's going to be this seasons try scoring machine too 😁. Great way to wrap up the opening block of games

Noel Hewson Always nice to get a win there. Other dominant display when you consider the two yellow cards. Lineout still an issue no matter who is throwing and might cost them in the big knock out games. Backs still to hit their stride which shows that this team can still improve.

Gerald Williamson Great game played at pace. If there is one quibble I have , that is the line out needs looking at. Lost balls when we should be winning our own balls. Thought the defence was pretty solid. Took our scores and Ronan Kelleher well deserved MOTM. In fact all the forwards were brilliant. Ross Byrne's goal kicking and from the hand was immaculate ( Johnny watch out). 5 out of 5 kicks from the tee. Great bonus pt win away.

Conor Cronin Delighted with the win, more so with the BP. Decent performances all around the park, including some good defence from a certain player who gets stick for that aspect of his game. Molony bossing the park again, Keenan running well, the hookers solid at everything but lineout throwing, and some great defense.

I don't like to have a go at officials, especially when we've won, but i really worth about that performance. He can't see everything, I understand that, but he has a team and a lot went missed or ignored, a lot of mistakes were made and you don't want to see poor refereeing doing a disservice to players and the enjoyment of a game.

Sean Michaels A very solid performance merited the bonus point. Good all round performance bar the usual issues around the line out which spoilt what was another dominating performance from the forwards. Thought Lowe was good in his defence duties, especially his composure under the high ball. Rhys Ruddock never fails to make his mark whether he starts a game or is a substitute, how he isn’t one of the first names on the Ireland team sheet is an extremely baffling

Craig Grehan (reply to Sean Michaels) because ruddock shits the knicks in green. He's a class player. But he's what they'd call in GAA terms "a good club man". He's never followed through to the green.

Ronan McManus Some very dodgy refereeing leading up to (and including) Dempsey's try.
A BP point away from home.

You can't have the rainbow without the rain. Europe can't come soon enough.

Chris McDonnell How good are Leinster without a half back on the pitch. Lineout is maybs the worst in professional rugby

Andrew Potts That was ok away from home.

Many thanks to all who offered opinions.

Look out Monday for our match writeup JLP
