A lot to learn from tonight for this management team especially how they retune what we do against a team like France

But a LBP in Paris scoring 3 tries would have been something we'd have taken I'd not expected 80+ minutes ago#FRAvIRE
Super game, drama filled from the start! Hard to be chasing Les Bleus in Paris from that early lead but we nearly got there - despite our breakdown under huge pressure for much of the game. Good showing from Carberry for his first 6N #FRAvIRE

We faced a phenomenal French side in Paris and we take away a losing bonus point. The thing is, if we had taken one or two more opportunities, we could have won that. Gutted but proud of our team ☘️ #FRAvIRE

Effectively that will be the standard for #RWC2023, host team, home crowd, Not the result but a great learning

Lots of mistakes but by no means a disaster.

Feeling pretty, pretty good about this Irish team. That game will stand to them #FRAvIRE pic.twitter.com/joX49fu1lq
Very disappointing but we didn’t play near our best and yet still came within a converted try of winning. The learnings will stand to the team I think. I hope. A losing BP could make all the difference #FRAvIRE

Whenever the Ireland men's team lose a game it people make it a catastrophe and people point provincial fingers.

Sometimes your team comes up against a very good team who were better on the day, that's what happened, there's no divine right to win.
We outscored them in trys but our penalty count cost us. France were immense at times.

Have to give a bit of credit though, our start to the second half was enormously good.
7 points shipped in first minute proved the difference. French emptied the tank in first half we did well to claw them back. Too sloppy and poor decision making at times, but I reckon France are delighted to have held on. Still in the hunt with 4-1 split. #FRAvIRE
