Richard Mifsud Hard not to be pleased beating Wales 29-7 and with a BPW to boot but the expectations created by this team mean you know they can go to another level again, which is awesome and something we’ll need moving forward. Rustiness and poor weather obviously impacted our style of play but won’t always hamper us. Not perfect by any stretch but you can’t expect that first match. Really impressed with Mack Hansen he certainly looks like he belongs. The pack was awesome and the centres were phenomenal. No doubt the coaches will find faults I’m just going to enjoy it ๐Ÿ˜Š. Final compliment for Johnny Air Bender Sexton ๐Ÿ˜‰

Paul Smith  Always brilliant to take a BP win, but we definitely left some scores behind us out there. Some excellent performances, Aki, Ringrose, Porter, Hanson, but for me VDF was MOM, another outstanding display from him. The weather did hamper our playing style and there was some over eagerness at the end which made us a bit sloppy, but there are very few who would have turned down a 29-7 win before the game started. ๐Ÿ€

Conor Cronin Pleased with the win, not with the margin. Ireland will definitely get more clinical over the next few weeks and hopefully make less errors. Amazing to not give away a penalty till the second half, that's great discipline and they'll need it next week.

Gav Heg A truly woeful Welsh side so let's not get carried away. We let ourselves down by not putting more on them and keeping them to zero. Yes Hansen looked good but was never tested defensively. We need to be more clinical, a lot of terrible penalties conceded late on.

Josephine Boyd A great win for our boys in green we should of had a better score more points on the board will have to keep there discipline that’s for sure need it for next week.In Paris.๐Ÿ’š☘️๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช

Brian Corr Smashing game played by Ireland against poor opposition.

Whether it was the weather that was responsible for some of the bad handling or a combination of that and not much game time recently it’s still good to see the willingness to play a fast game and constantly search for breaks, it was telling that when we had the ball it looked like we were in control and when Wales had the ball it looked like we were in control with the exception of a few cases where we did get stretched but managed last ditch recovery.

The Wales try was sickening, but it was a sign of ambition to be still trying to keep it alive in our own 22 and in the last few minutes.

Probably the best thing about it was traditionally we are talking about a poor start to the 6N with a closer than expected win or against Wales too often in the past a surprise loss. This time it was a win by far more than expected but should have been more.

Can’t wait for France now.

Gerald Williamson A good bonus points win. They could have had another 10pts at least. Got a bit messy in the middle of the second half. Very impressed with Johnny's 2 conversion kicks from the right hand side and making allowance for the wind. Some nice inventive play against the Welsh, but it will be another step up the ladder needed for the next game by our boys.

Andrew Potts It's not often Ireland put a good score on Wales they are so good at keeping in a game.
10 at half time was nothing we did well to stretch it.
Great debut by 11 integrated really well, lots of intelligent play

Noel Hewson Well it’s a win. Probably tells how far we have come that I’m disappointed we did not nil them and score at least 15 more points ๐Ÿ˜€

Craig Boyd Should have been 50 or more, Wales awful, great start all the same and something to build on

Cian Ormond It's a good result, but let's not get carried away. The real test comes next week in Paris.

Bernie Stewart Epic ๐Ÿ’š
