Gerard Murray Have to say Devon Toner was brilliant today he should have been in Japan let's get another star on the shirt lads the Drive for five.

Conor O'Shea (reply) I think it was a blessing in disguise for Dev that he missed the disaster that was the World Cup!

Conor Cronin I think there'll be more to do in the video session than most will have anticipated! A really good result with some players only back together for the first time in a month.

Ben Whitehouse wasted a lot of time today. The people in the bars even knew Lowe's pass was forward. He bottled a second yellow and spent a huge amount of time just reminding us there was a tmo.

Sean Michaels Fair play to Lyon, they didn’t come, roll over and have their tummy’s tickled they did at times show some spirited defence. Having said that Leinster were not at their best and looked laboured, which was further exacerbated by some questionable refereeing by Mr Whitehouse in which Lyon were fortunate to escape with only 3 yellow cards. Max Deegan deserved his MoM award but what was more pleasing was to see Robbie Henshaw looking sharp and in form. It was also good to see Nugget get on the scoreboard. Despite the winning margin I think there will be 2 or 3 of the team that started looking over their shoulder

David Ryle Great game. Better discipline in the second half. At least the game wasn’t over at halftime. The Lyon second team gave a few scares.  The first team minus sexton and Ryan were all over the place in the first half. It also didn't help that the backs kept slipping off their feet when turning in the first half.

Chris McDonnell Ross Byrne with the ball in hand was not at the races today. He kicked wonderfully and controlled the game but his passing and trying to take the ball to the line was miles off

Derek McGee Once again, a game officiated by Ben Whitehouse descends into farce at times. I understand a lot of the issues were created by Ian Davies, the TMO but the referee is the ultimate arbiter & Whitehouse vacillates between indecisive & wrong with worrying ease. Case in point: Fardy's try gets ruled out after an age of review & re-review. Whitehouse then gives Lyon the scrum only for Scott to remind him that it was our penalty advantage. That happened twice in the game where the referee had to be reminded of the state of play before the TMO got involved. Not good enough for U14 rugby, certainly not good enough for Europe's premier rugby competition.

Andrew Bailey A potentially entertaining match reduced to 60 minutes of rugby and 20 minutes of a preening Ben Whitehouse (and his equally culpable assistants ). He didn’t appreciate that a packed RDS was there to watch rugby and not him

Kevin Kelehan Home QF and semi path is intact, looking possible that Sarries are the QF opponents

Dave Murray (reply) Possible alright. I think they're in 7th place on points difference ahead of Northampton and Gloucester as all 3 are on 14 points? What do we need to happen? Gloucester should stay on 14 as they're away to Toulouse and can't see them getting much change in France. Northampton in France too to a Lyon team who will rest players again but will give everything again and are at home and Sarries are home to a Racing side looking for a home quarter final. Could be Northampton, Sarries or even Glasgow could get 7th place with an away win @ Sale who are long gone.

Andrew Potts Hopefully that game will soften the cough of the media hounds unrealistic hype surrounding Leinster these last few weeks.

Three disallowed tries and three yellow cards must be some type of first.

Noel Hewson Not perfect but job done. Max Deegan continues to impress. Maul defence needs to be smarter too many penalties there.

Many thanks to all who offered opinions.

Look for our match writeup Monday evening. JLP
