Front Five - 16.08.20

Start your day with five eye-catching egg-chasing quotes & links from around the ruggersphere.

The only good thing about switching
my featured match of the weekend
from Blues v Crusaders to Bristol v Sarries
was that I didn't have to get up at 4am.
It wasn't entirely the players' fault
but that was a brutal 80 minutes.

"...there will be...a feeling of thanksgiving, if you like, that rugby in this country at last is back on its feet"

Brendan Fanning - Irish Independent
(behind paywall)

"I never wanted to get to the point where I was playing for the sake of it."

Graham Bean - The Scotsman

The game saw seven tries in total with the Highlanders running away with it in the second half to win 38-21.

Shay Waterworth - RugbyDump

"...it looked as if Alex Goode, deputising at fly-half for Owen Farrell, had kicked Saracens home with four penalties."

SkySports.com

As he breaks away into open, space it looks like there’s no one who can keep up with him – apart from one man.
