Online comments after Ulster v Leinster

A selection of the “keyboard warrior” reactions after the full-time whistle of our featured matches of the weekend.

If you’d like to contribute stay tuned to our Facebook page for our “Feel free to leave your thoughts…” posts which show up around full time after Leinster & Ireland matches.

Conor Cronin Before knockout rugby starts next week, Leinster are undefeated, almost double the points difference of next best and more try BPs than any other team in the pro 14. And all that done using 50 or more players over 21 regular season games. Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how incredible that is. Every player wants it, every player wants to be the best and win every game, that's an amazing attitude for a team to have. And this result just shows that desire again

Gavin Delves Great finish to the game we'll done to the young lads they all played well

Nigel Quigley Ulster not at the races again sadly. And frankly Mad Dog needs to park any ambitions of an Ireland recall and try making things happen at Ulster first, he is a way off unseating Burns and Johnson on that performance. This wasnt important, but the performance was worrying, lot of work for Ulster to get through next week. Leinster? Well, you play the same game from academy up, no shock that performance doesnt drop much. You'd think the rest of us would catch on.

Brendan Grehan Great to see Clarkson making Leinster debut #dufc #fidesetrobur

Gerald Williamson No matter who start , they can prove that they have the players to do the job. The Leinster Academy production machine has to be one of the best in the world. Even though he was on for the last 20 mins, I believe Harry Byrne is a future Irish No 10. His game reading, cross field kick for the second last try & making the last try his own proves his ability to read a game well.

Elaine Molloy (reply to Gerald Williamson) all after a bad knock to the head too!

Andrew Potts Really solid performance from the team, regardless of the name in the jersey every player is just so competent. Then to see the bench come on and add value to the overall performance. Beating a well loaded Ulster team could actually be the squad performance of the season.

Dave Murray Different class again. Roll on knockout rugby for the next few weeks hopefully.

Stuart McHugh I often feel like there are clear A and B teams with Leinster (separated by class and potential) but the B team is so hungry that they can often put in better performances, whereas the A team can get a bit complacent in the big games. Hope that makes sense!

Aidan Finn (reply to Stuart McHugh) not really to be fair. They have used 60 different players throughout this campaign and currently are 22 games in a row unbeaten with a score difference that is over 220 points more than the next best... At what point have any Leinster player shown complacency? Also, rather than them playing an “A” team or a “B” team, they have consistently mixed youth and experience throughout their selections...

Noel Hewson Good result still a few too many penalties especially at breakdown. Frawley had a good game and a nice cameo from Harry Byrne.

Owen Deering Leinster just a class above! No go forward ball from ulster which is telling from the end result! Harry Byrne with a great cameo for the last 20 mins! The Leinster machine continues!

Eamon Phelan Leinster showing the way constantly developing and playing young players , contrast the other provinces except Connaught , the rest of us beware

Micheal Mac An TSagart Scott Penney looks like a young Sean O'Brien to me.

Would love to see him play more, but I know there are many options there.

Crazy also seeing players such as Jordi Murphy, John Cooney, Marty Moore and Ian Madigan all on the other team.

Paul Smith Leinster doing what Leinster do. Doesn't matter who is wearing the jersey and that's what makes them special 👍. Allez Les Bleus !!!

Many thanks to all who offered opinions.

Look out Monday for our match writeup JLP
