Ireland Jersey McJerseyface Cup Final : We have a winner!

It was a close run final - the lead changed hands a few times, once or twice it was literally 50-50, but the 2005-06 design had enough to hold off RWC2003 in the final quarter for a 51.6%-48.4% triumph.

Many thanks again to @museumofjerseys for the graphics, @IrishRugbySupp for helping organise, to @CanterburyNZ for the winning design and of course @IrishRugby for providing the players to wear the jerseys ๐Ÿ˜œ

Most of all, thanks to all who voted over the past few weeks!!!

Now to do the Lions!!!!???
Nah, maybe not. I reckon I'm polled out - maybe someone else can do it now. Back to actual harping on actual rugby methinks!!! ๐Ÿ˜‰ JLP

Ireland Jersey McJerseyFace Cup - The Road to the Final

We launched on June 8.  The tournament kicked off two days later with the first qualifying poll.  Now we're down to just two jerseys that will go head to head at 5pm on Tuesday, June 30th for the right to be called Ireland Jersey McJerseyface Cup Champion 2020.

Ahead of the decider, here's one more chance to look over the two remaining contenders, as well as a summary of how they got this far.

Many thanks to all who have taken part in this "bit o' craic" to get us through the month of June, particularly Denis Hurley of  MuseumOfJerseys.com for supplying the graphics and Kristian Ross of @IrishRugbySupp for serving on the "tournament committee".

Fingers crossed we'll be back to harpin' on actual Leinster & Ireland rugby very soon.  See you at 5 bells and be sure to get your vote in!!! JLP

Ireland Jersey McJerseyface Cup - Semifinal 1 result

PODCAST : Ep 55 : “The role of a COVID-19 Club Safety Officer” featuring Ian Frizzell

This week my guest is Ian Frizzell, who has recently been appointed to the role of COVID-19 Club Safety Officer at Ballymoney RFC.  I got him on to tell us a bit about himself and how he got into rugby, about the club, and of course what the position entails.  And as he’s also a massive Ulster Rugby fan I couldn’t let him go without sharing his thoughts on their chances once provincial rugby kicks back into gear.

The IRFU guidelines on the COVID-19 Club Safety Officer can be found here > https://d2cx26qpfwuhvu.cloudfront.net/irfu/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/05141554/09-IRFU-ReturnToRugby-Guidelines-SafetyOfficers.pdf
