Online comments after Leinster v Bath

Paul Smith Did what needed to be done and then took the foot of the gas. Some lovely tries scored but it was so one sided it was over as a contest after 25 minutes. Good that we were able to make changes and rest some players for a harder job next week and give others a taste of European rugby. A good start to the drive for five.

Sean Michaels Basically a game of two halves, first halve I felt we could’ve competed with any club team in Europe. Second halve was error strewn and in parts extremely sloppy. If we are going to obtain the fifth star this season then we are going to have to find a level of consistency and ruthlessness that we have not yet managed this season

Cormac Mannion  All over after 25mins. Performance was disappointing after that. What was worrying was how a lot of momentum in the second half seemed to disappear when McGrath replaced JGP. Slow ruck ball, telegraphed passes etc

However, Lowe and Keenan are in smashing form, as is Frawley

Kevin Kelehan (In reply to Facebook post where I apologized for it posting later than usual) The tries came as scheduled!

Many thanks to all who offered opinions.

That lack of cohesion...is a concern for Cullen, who anticipates a more testing evening against Montpellier on Friday night.

Ciarán Kennedy - The42.ie

...that result against Wasps is the sort of win that can drive a squad on to greater things. Bring on Castres!

Owen Harrison (@overthehillprop) - Irish Examiner

Even in third quarter when Stade Francais held the majority of possession, they rarely got near the 22 to make any use of it.

Neil Treacy - RTÉ Sport

“I think that we’ve all been motivated by the French national team. There’s a buzz in France at the moment.”

Despite Penaud’s excellent tries it was the Irish side who came away with a 23-29 win at Stade Marcel-Michelin

Leinster scored seven tries to Bath's two, and with the bonus point wrapped up as early as the 24th minute

Cian Tracey - Irish Independent

"They're probably not playing their best rugby at the moment but they still have the same players who are able to do amazing stuff."

Jonathan Bradley - Belfast Telegraph

Last year’s Challenge Cup winners did not have Handré Pollard...Paolo Garbisi, the Italian 10, was not on duty either

Adam Hathaway - The Guardian

The result also meant Leicester Tigers are yet to lose a game this season having won all their nine matches in the Gallagher Premiership.

Frank Nickson - Talking Rugby Union

"We hope these actions by Peter as an apology will bring this matter to its conclusion."
