The arroganve of Premiership rugby is astounding..shown up for the average league it is this weekend...Sarries and Exeter aside nothing to fear from others...— MJ (@markusjacksonus) December 10, 2017
Suffocating. That type of performance wins you titles. We’ll need to produce another one like it again in the knock out stages you would think.
Stuart McHugh
Sooooooooo looking forward to your write up Jeff. Perfect tactically IMO Officially a rugby nerd when I get a bigger kick from that than a romp @HarpinOnRugby Brilliant performance! Now to repeat it next week 😬— Richard Mifsud (@Richmif) December 10, 2017
Good hefty marker put down against a top team.
Played like a team who know they have at least 1 trophy in them this year. Good scraps where they where not left wanting
Massively positive!!
Neil Keegan
Brilliant win tonight for @leinsterrugby. Looked like a brutally physical game. Denying @ExeterChiefs a losing bonus is huge.— Brian O'Driscoll (@BrianODriscoll) December 10, 2017
Brilliant win. Nothing too fancy but again showing this team is defending incredibly well.
Noel Hewson
Ah man. I'm going to need some sort of recovery after watching this #EXEvLEI game. Tough stuff on and off the pitch.— Killian Byrne (@killianbyrne) December 10, 2017
After the first leg its 4-0.
Huge result. But for two tiny pieces of Exeter luck early in the first half could have been a bonus point win, but we kept at it and got the 4 that mattered. Starved them of ball which is hugely encouraging for next week.

Great result for the boys in blue 👌🏽 #EXEvLEI— Nathalie Chong (@LadyLassitude) December 10, 2017
What a win. Hats off to the much maligned McFadden. Brilliant display. Such a Leinster stalwart

On these occasions denying an LBP is as good as a BPThat being said, the BP was there#EXEvLEI #COYBIB #ChampionsCup

Great win but credit to Exeter, they defended fiercely. Persistence is what broke them down and I'd love to see that kind of fortitude in every Leinster performance
Dara Mac An Chrósáin
WHAT A RESULT! #COYBIB8 18Leinster win and deny Chiefs a LBP6 points clear at the top of the group#4ProudProvinces

44 phases. 44. FORTHY FOUR!!! Try. Incredible patience to wear The Chiefs down.

Phaseapalooza!— Tom Coleman (@LeinsterRoyalty) December 10, 2017
Balls, grit, determination and bloody hard work. The most “honest” win I’ve seen from us in years of that makes sense. That’s a real champion performance showing we can win in more ways than one and in very tough conditions.
John Molloy
👏👏👏👏@leinsterrugby . Tough & gritty win . 44 phases try. Great defence to keep Exeter out. Bring on Lansdowne Road ..... we believe— Jonathan Meade 🤓 (@Meadejonathan) December 10, 2017
Don’t know how the boys feel but I am absolutely drained and exhilarated in equal parts
Ginette Mifsud
Blood and guts win for @leinsterrugby. Reminded me of The Stoop in '09.We (and the ref) made life more difficult than necessary but great result #ex

From the most successful captain in European Rugby Leo Cullen has become one of the most intelligent coaches in Europe this was one of Leinster's biggest win's in Europe. Exeter are no Leicster they are England Champion's and this was an outstanding win. Bring on next weekend but bring it to the RDS our home ground
Odran John OBrien
Good result. Surprised by an international ref going to the tmo so much. Job done #EXEvLEI— Paul Harte (@PaulHarte) December 10, 2017
Without prompting cries of blasphemy, it brought to mind the European away days of the Schmidt era. Muscular, disciplined (for the most part), tenacious & patient. A forwards match for sure (Scott Fardy deserving particular kudos along with Tadhg Furlong) but credit has to go to Luke McGrath for his decision making throughout the game & especially at the scrums and breakdowns. Exeter are a tough bunch & very much still in the mix but denying them a losing BP is almost as vital as notching up four of our own, especially with Montpelier's result on Friday. Next Saturday should be a cracker at Lansdowne 👍
Derek McGee
That's right up there with @leinsterrugby great European wins #EXEvLEI— Conor Mullen (@cmullen10) December 10, 2017
Disastrous weekend for the ‘best league in world rugby’. Bath lost. Wasps lost. Harlequins lost. Northampton lost. Leicester lost. Exeter lost. The feckers will change the rules again.
Alan Murphy
Excellent away win by Leinster. Group is theirs for the taking now. Gritty performance in a v tough place to get any points #EXEvLEI— Ross Nicholas (@ross_irl) December 10, 2017
Resolute Leinster defence in the last quarter of the match. Fantastic 44 phases of play & great ball retention in getting the final try & sealing a tough competitive win. Good to see Fergus McFadden back with his snipping runs.
Gerald Williamson
"I've got no complaints about the result - I thought @leinsterrugby came here and played very well," - classic Rob Baxter after #EXEvLEI, very honest, even in defeat— Howard Lloyd (@howard_lloyd) December 10, 2017
Scott Fardy is one of the best signings Leinster have made in years. Absolute workhorse.
Shane O Leary
Outstanding result! #EXEvLEI Great game! @leinsterrugby @OLSCRugby gonna be tough for the return!— Brian McDonagh (@brianmcdonagh) December 10, 2017
Brilliant win despite Poite being his usual idiosyncratic self. Could be our year COYBIB
Sean Michaels
Ladies & Gentlemen, rugby law is sometimes an ass.TMO tried his best, but Plainclothesman Poite had plainly asked the wrong question and refused to wriggle free.#EXEvLEI

Irish player management system showing its benefits this weekend . Any Irish player chasing the money will be made to play when fit every week in England and France. Food for thought for potential exports.
Sean Ferry
A compelling if not high quality match between #EXEvLEI. Surprising lack of inventiveness from both sides down by the goal line. Tadhg Furlong was epic. @leinsterrugby will be very tough to beat throughout the tournament IMO. #ChampionsCup— Kevin Carpenter (@KevSportsLaw) December 10, 2017
Leinster played all the rugby. Exeter had some of joy out wide (their swan diving showboater at 14 is a slippery f*ck*r) but Leinster shut them out. An intense number of phases in the second half with some quality stuff from the pack. A serious statement from the boys in blue! #DreamsOfBilbao
Stephen Tew
A clean sweep for the Irish this weekend. 👊 Must be time for the English to change the competition again! #MUNvLEI #EXEvLEI #HARvULS #ChampionsCup— Noel Keary (@NoelyK2) December 10, 2017
Great depth in the Leinster side!
Marty Lustiano
Must say I really enjoyed listening to @davidflatman’s work on @btsportrugby for #EXEvLEI this evening. But ‘The Bull’ as an @irishrugby THP’s nickname belongs to one man and one man only! #thebullhayes— David Cahill (@docathail) December 10, 2017
Great win and the same again next Sat, Toner was unlucky not to get the try
Ken Wright
Only disappointment is that we didn't win by more. Thoroughly professional away European display. Beat them at their own game in that final quarter with ten points from monster series of phases #EXEvLEI #COYBIB— Harpin' On Rugby 🏉 (@HarpinOnRugby) December 10, 2017
Many thanks to all who offered opinions.
