Oh my GOD - the #StarsAndStripes @leinsterrugby jersey next season is going to be a sight to behold⭐️💙⭐️💙⭐️💙⭐️— Miriam Collins (@MiriamCol) May 12, 2018
Didn't play well at all today, but great teams find a way to win. 4 stars happy days
Cian Greally
It needs to be said because it gets lost in the euphoria. Barnes is sub standard with constant potential to impact result Hard calls against Leinster and a really soft high tackle call against Racing few minutes from end
Andrew Bailey
Hero, Legend, World class. There is just not enough words to sum up Isa, you will be missed captain fantastic #LEIvR92 #LeinsterRugby— Ronan (@RokyOwl) May 12, 2018
The drive for five starts here
Éamonn Rogers
15-12, 9 penalty goals, an appropriate outcome in the European Box Kick Championships. Some very tough forward play, but gee whizz. #LEIvR92 #ChampionsCup— Warren Lightpower (@realnicks) May 12, 2018
You only need to be leading at the end! Well done boys! 💙⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💙

Poor game but there's still going to be ⭐⭐⭐⭐ over the crest

Take nothing from Racing, they could have done it, but the best teams find a way and Leinster were the best team today. Let the celebrations begin, ⭐⭐⭐⭐ will look fantastic on next season's jersey.

Not a bad year for @IrishRugby - a Grand Slam, partly thanks to Owen Farrell's dad & a European Cup, partly thanks to ex-England Coach, Stuart Lancaster. As for Eddie, he can stay in England. #LEIvR92. I'm not sure if I want us to win #Eurovision2018 - just get rid of #Brexit— Sean #FBPE (@GreenBeltWay) May 12, 2018
Good teams win when they play badly. This could be the start of a dynasty. And James Ryan? Wow. 21. Bloody hell.
Derek Tormey
Leinster won despite themselves & Barnes who had a shocker. But ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ is all that matters

Champions of Europe for the Fourth time, what a team @leinsterrugby and delighted for a classy coach Stuart Lancaster and all the players some achievement #LEIvR92 #ChampionsCup pic.twitter.com/pwq2XGb68z— Geoff Kane (@GeoffreyKane) May 12, 2018
I need to shop for a set of underpants

Dan Leavy today: most metres in the @leinsterrugby pack. Most carries and highest tackle count of the 41 players involved. Bloodied and battered. Titan. #LEIvR92— Brendan Hurley (@brendanhurley) May 12, 2018
My heart isn't the better for it, but my god I love Leinster!!!
Conor Cronin
Very close but well deserved when you consider the whole season. We've been the most consistent side in Europe. Barnes was terrible
Jamie Donohoe
Wayne Barnes got a load of criticism from Paddy McOneeye on Twitter... before kick off! He reffed two boring teams near-perfectly. #LEIvR92— Mavis Moonraker Stott (@harry_haitch) May 12, 2018
Ugly rugby but sometimes ugly rugby is what you need to win !
Ian Fitzpatrick

Both teams equally shite but we held our nerve just a tad longer!!!!
CHAMPIONÉ!!!! 💙💙💙

Shows the value of having players who can hang tough when it needs to be done . I felt confident we would win it up until the 70 min mark when they nudged ahead again. But then that old dog of war Isa saw us at home. What a player what a man

I think what makes me the most proud is that Racing are A billionaire backed team with a large contingent of mercenaries, there as Leinster players are largely Leinster born and bred. A fantastic result. Looking forward to having a look at the full time stats. I think they might reveal a large element of the Luck of the Irish today. Hard luck to racing, I was convinced they'd win for most of that game but I'm a Leinster man so I'm delighted all the same.

Just on the bus leaving the stadium. Heart full, voice gone, overall relieved and ecstatic! We beat Racing, the ref and touch judges! 💙💙💙

#LEIvR92 beautifully ugly...couldve been 15-12 or 3-0 or 95-92 really dont care #4starster— Mark Jackson (@markusjacksonus) May 12, 2018
Fair play to Racing. After losing Lambe and Carter they still were able to keep us at the bay. Nacewa and Sexton managed the team perfectly today chasing the score for most of the game. At the end of the day the most consistent team of the tournament won. We are the champions ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Sebastian Brennan
"I wish to offer my heartfelt congratulations to the players and staff at @leinsterrugby on winning their 4th European title.Theirs is a triumph of team spirit, dedication and unstinting belief in 'na féidearthachtaí gan teorann', the limitless possibilities."— President of Ireland (@PresidentIRL) May 12, 2018
Didn't play to our potential in attack, but we did enough. CHAMPIONS!!!!!
Needs to be said; Isa for president as soon as Michael D is gone.

Still in Bilbao... 4 Stars! GO LEINSTER. Worth the trip to see their hard work this season pay off. So proud of the Team 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

4 stars on the jersey now. Equal to the number of camomille teas required to get through the stress of that game. Massive congrats to @leinsterrugby. #ChampionsCupFinal #LEIvR92— Jenny Murphy (@jennymurphy045) May 12, 2018
Bought in heavy-weights v a Province that knows what it’s doing.

Having watched most of the Challenge Cup Finals over the years Id say last night's was the best and most compelling game. A real step up for the tournament imo with a magnificent stadium aiding that process. Credit to EPCR on this , took some stick on the venue choice— Brendan gallagher (@gallagherbren) May 12, 2018
The day was rainy The Racing 92 were up for it and Leinster were nervous having seen what they did to Munster. But the longer it went on the more I was waiting for Leinster to take over and win it. In the end they won it with a Penalty . I think Leinster were afraid to lose this game and just didn't get going, Not taking anything away from Racing Because they were in Leinster's face all day long.

3 of the 4 Champions Cup semi finalists were from the @PRO14OfficialPro 14 Leinster are Champions Cup winners,Pro 14 Cardiff blues are Challenge Cup winnersNot bad for shit teams from a shit league— Paul (@tumblescarlet67) May 12, 2018
The mark of a top class team, can get the result even when it's not the ideal type of game, as well as winning in style which Leinster had already done throughout the tournament
Ciarán Elster
Final word has to go to Leo Cullen. First man to win European cup as player & coach. What a player, what a coach, what an achievement 👏👏— Manus Lappin (@EmeraldRugby) May 12, 2018
neither team ever looked like getting a try. a terrible game somewhat ruined by an inept Barnes but Racing did far better than expected.
Gav Heg
1) good teams win when they play well. Great teams win when they play badly
2) not a game for the neutrals....or almost the fans even! And as for the way we won, it’s not the way I’d chose to win, but it is a win and I’ll take it and be proud. A painful way for a worthy opposition to lose though
3) but, we did it, and deserved it!
4) I think I love Leo Cullen?
6) I definitely love love LOVE Isa (I’ll never let go Isa!)
7) Feckin delighted for Stuart Lancaster. A wonderful coach and a lovely man who got the vindication he deserves. I really hope he’s as proud and happy with this success as I am on his behalf 👊🏼Leinster Rugby

It was like a heavyweight boxing bout. Trading blows for 12 rounds without giving an inch!
Leinster attacked and had the most forward momentum, but it hit that Racing defensive wall every time. Leinster kept at it and took their chance when available. Hard fought game that could have gone either way really.
The two long range kicks that Johnny missed I thought should have went to the corner. That being said with hindsight of course.
A fantastic European campaign topped off by beating the top opposition. Can’t say more deserved than that. Especially delighted for Leo Cullen and Stuart Lancaster. They had a rough beginning with fans questioning the appointments (particularly in Leo’s case). They stuck with it through a few tough seasons of rebuilding and came out the other side. Enjoy the pints lads!!!
