If you can hang on and claw victory from a near certain defeat in the face of blatant disregard for player safety and officiating ineptitude ... you've got a RWC trophy in your sights. Wonderful year for us all ๐ฎ๐ช๐พ

Did the last pass shave Stickdale's arm? It may have done but it felt like a fair call. A close shave indeed but some achievement. Some season.— Gerry Thornley (@gerrythornley) June 23, 2018
Our wins show that damage over time beats burst damage

Guazzere was poor but we have a serious issue with how we manage referees. Pocock's having a barbie with him on Sunday— Demented Mole (@dementedmole) June 23, 2018
Rode our luck but a win is a win.Brilliant series win.

Best series of rugby in a long time! Well done @IrishRugby. @ConorMurray_9 player of the series. Jordan Larmour’s feet tho ๐๐๐— Joshua J Christie (@JoshuaChristie5) June 23, 2018
Rode our luck a bit but my god that will stand to them in Japan. Almost all of the squad used. Byrne will get a game or 2 in November so won't worry about him. Larmours take against Folau was epic. Beirne did well after coming on. Scanell, CJ and Aki were brilliant. Come on ireland.
Colm Cunningham
Will Schmidt be happy with the performance? No, and I'd imagine the plane journey one will spent on video analysis. This is after all a man who said a series loss would spoil the Grand Slam. However he'll be delighted with that first three-test series win against Australia.— Cork's RedFM Sport (@BigRedBench) June 23, 2018
Larmour and Beirne coming on had desired effect, more pace and better hands

Joe Schmidt: "We will be forensic on the back of the video and have a decent look but a heck of a lot tonight was down to character." #AUSvIRE #AUS #IRE— Cillian O Conchuir (@oconchuirc) June 23, 2018
Take a moment to enjoy that year. Wow. Hope we haven’t peaked too soon but this is just phenomenal.

Congrats to Ireland......unbelievable defence. That's why they are number 2 in the world. Wallabies showed great character and should be proud. What a test series. #AUSvIRE— Tim Horan (@TimHoran12) June 23, 2018
Israel Folau tugging another man from behind. I thought he was opposed to that kind of carry-on ๐ค
PS: Amazing season. What else can you say?

Hard to accept how many bad big calls were made in that match. No YC for Kepu.No PT + YC for ColemanNo PT + YC for sacked maulNo YC for HenshawAnd that's just off the top of my head

Me nerves. What a match. Great character. Jeez Sexton makes me nervous. He missed the feckin conversion! Then he kicks to win.
We got some calls. Oz indisciplined. What a season! Happy hols!

Clutch counter-ruck from Bundee Aki, Keith Earls and - yep - James Ryan. Ireland utterly exhausted at this stage. Fantastic opportunism out wide. pic.twitter.com/piVXRnBx4P— Charlie Morgan (@CharlieFelix) June 23, 2018
Fantastic match and test series haven't seen a better one in the past few years welldone to Ireland on winning their first ever series in the southern hemisphere also Australia for making it a series to remmber ๐๐๐

Reply : First 3 test win, first of any type since 1979.
Concerned about the scrum and how long it takes us to score, particularly score tries. But we managed to find a way to win regardless.

Ireland's mauling was much improved in this game. It was decisive, too.Just watching the replay of CJ's try. What a throw from Scannell and take from Murphy at the tail. Elite stuff #AUSvIRL

Breathtaking test match. Great result ๐๐ฎ๐ช๐

Hey @brettgosper what a bloody brilliant #AUSvIRL series, just superb. Yet all everyone is talking about is the TMO. As fans, yeah we want our team to win but more than anything, we want a game where competing for the ball is rewarded, not carded.— Rhys Gower (@TenVsRhys) June 23, 2018
Fantastic win. Awful ref. 55 all on aggregate shows how closely matched the teams were but it came down to our mental strength and determination. So many stand out performers, tough on Byrne but his day will come. CJ had a stormer and Sexton was immense again, missed conversion aside. Loved his signal to the lads that the game was over ๐

Ireland just won a Test series in Australia and Joe Schmidt is immediately talking about forensically watching the video. I wonder does he sleep at all.— Cian Tracey (@CianTracey1) June 23, 2018
We are mastering the art of winning when under the cosh. Thought our forwards did well considering they conceded nearly 3Kg per man. What won us the series is sheer bloody hard work and passion. Joe and his team have installed an unbelievable work ethic and togetherness in the camp, long may it continue

A hard earned win today, a well earned series win.. combination of skill discipline commitment and resilience has seen us with smiles on our faces today. Capping a great season. We are lucky to have this group of players and coaches.

.....AND BREATHE. No offence to Ross Byrne but the way this turned out I'm glad he didn't get his first cap. Look - we made some mistakes, we had some luck, but try telling me we didn't deserve to win that series. Credit to Wallabies in 2nd half but right team won. #AUSvIRL— Harpin' On Rugby ๐ (@HarpinOnRugby) June 23, 2018
