Lucky win in the end

Bottom line is ..lads like the Byrne twins , Deegan, Reid, Mick Kearney can come on and make a difference is because Leinster play them throughout the year. "Stars" can't be there all the time so when needed these guys can come on do a job.Love wins like that.— Tom (@LeinsterRoyalty) August 31, 2018
Rusty start but that’s allowed. Good thing was heads didn’t drop and we got result. Pretty tight up front but gaps in midfield a concern. Take the positives - a bonus point away win on a plastic pitch
Andrew Bailey
Can someone please, please, please tell the commentator at half time that Vardy is a soccer player - the @leinsterrugby legend in the 5 jersey is called Fardy.— Miriam Collins (@MiriamCol) August 31, 2018
When you come at the kings......you know the rest!
Never out of the game!
Neil Keegan
Leinster steal the win at the end.An incredible victory given this was a 2nd string team and they were 15 points down at one point. Some positives from Cardiff but they can still be easily bullied in the forwards. That area needs work.— rugby (@theblitzdefence) August 31, 2018
A tough win on the road I'll take any day. An ugly win will count more for us than a canter down the line, and there'll be plenty for the review session.

Love that my TL is covered in rugby related tweets tonight ☺️— Laura Rachael ๐๐ (@LauraRGallagher) August 31, 2018
Job done. not pretty but Leinster got the result in the end
Angela Cassin Jackson
As results go, this one's a peach. Slugged it out, pulled back a big deficit. There was composure and grit. All this and room to improve! Well done @leinsterrugby— Mike Kirwan (Mr Beverage) ๐ช๐บ๐ฎ๐ช (@Mikedragon32) August 31, 2018
Very sloppy at times.
Too many penalties.
Easy tries against us.
A VERY LUCKY WIN

Hey @PremierSportsTV Thanks for night 1. Great start and here's to the season ahead. #CARvLEI #GuinnessPRO14— Brian Donnelly (@bptd1234) August 31, 2018
A win is a win. Good christening for the new away strip. Maybe they drew inspiration from the ref calling them 'green'. Coybib!!
Warren Doyle
A very proud day for Iris Productions today as we assume responsibility for TG4's rugby output on a multi-annual basis. Looking forward to the kicking off the #GUINNESSPRO14 with our first live game tonight #CBLvLEI live on @SportTG4 at 19:30— Iris Media (@Irisproductions) August 31, 2018
Bench made big impact. Gibson Park excellent. Thought O Laughlin played well. Pack excellent
Jamie Donohoe
Leinster just know how to win!... Cardiff unlucky not to win tonight! #CARvLEI— nemzy (@nemani_nadolo) August 31, 2018
Defense was poor in first half by Leinster, was very sloppy by times a lot of easy Cardiff Blues tries scored against us lots of work to do before next game but lucky win ๐
Michaela Monaghan
Fantastic comeback from the All-Olives! Victory from the jaws of defeat #CARvLEI #GuinnessPRO14— Phil Dunne (@flyte_case) August 31, 2018
Fardy outstanding. Adam Byrne good in the air. Milli vanilli shite. Tracy and tubby Byrne good. Doris put in a great shift.
Gav Heg
How does Scott Fardy not get man of the match there? #CARvLEI— Karl Brophy (@KarlBrophy) August 31, 2018
Apart from Fardys brain dart of a quick line out which gave Cardiff their try just before H-T lol..... apart from that his usual great solid performance ๐๐๐
Joe Sheppard
An incredible comeback by Leinster ground out the win in a real opening game of the season affair.Cardiff let go of control at minute 50 some good performances but they'll be disappointed with their finish#CARvLEI— The 2nd Row (@the2ndRow) August 31, 2018
To many turnovers looked hard to play on that artificial pitch but great comeback and something to build on.

Bench made impact. New kit is shite. One thing I really enjoyed was Tommy, Donnacha and Luke doing commentary on eir sport. Finally anchor and pundits know what they’re talking about ๐ More of it please.
Sebastian Brennan
Gibson Park kicked too early to touch. Nige should have allowed a line-out I think #CARvLEI #CBLvLEI @Rugbyonslaught— Andrew Donohoe (@andrewhdonohoe) August 31, 2018
Fcuk it - we were blessed. Only Fardy, Ruddock, Dorris, and McFadden were up to the standard required .. subs made a difference imho.
Jim Kelly
Ster on the rob in Cardiff! #LeinsterRugby #CARvLEIPoor performance but we'll take that!'Bring on more Byrnes' 'There are no more Byrnes!' ๐Good start to a massive sporting weekend! pic.twitter.com/BjGp3CwNvJ— Mark Hanlon (@HighLifeHanlon) August 31, 2018
2 Cardiff supporters standing behind us at d game talking about how good it was to have the 2 best teams in Europe playing each other here in Cardiff this eve. Hadn’t the heart to tell them winning the Challenge Cup doesn’t make u the 2nd best team in Europe ๐
Good to keep fighting to the end & get a win on the road. Some of the subs made a difference I think. Hope Barry Daly is ok after going off so early

Well, at least we still know how to win playing badly. That's not nothing.
Defence and breakdown needs to improve, though picking a more balanced back row will help there when we get one of our opensides back.
End of the day though it's 5 points in the bag.

Joe Tomane has a lot to learn. A LOT. #CARvLEI— Brian O'Sullivan (@bosman94) August 31, 2018
Not sure how Leinster won that. Looked a bit pedestrian all evening, batter around the sides, box kick, some poor defending and turnovers. Yet dig out the win, JGP had a bit of fizz about him but nothing before that
Andrew Potts

Let in some very soft tries & got a couple of soft ones to win ugly in the end - great spirit & bench performance, proves how deep the squad still is which is great!! hope there’s a reckoning in the review sessions & last years standards apply!
Johnny Grimes
Wahoo @leinsterrugby first win of the season ๐๐๐ It was far from pretty but we will take a win in any style. Onwards and upwards to next week #CARvLEI #Pro14Rugby— Rebecca J Leggett (@rebleg18) August 31, 2018
Ross Byrne can’t move a backline. He can kick but getting a backline to attack is just not something he can do. Molony was very good along with Fardy ( minus the brain fart) Ruddock and Doris the rest of the pack were ok, all the bench made a difference and luke Mc needs to stop kicking the ball.
Chris McDonnell
Joe Tomane has a lot to learn. A LOT. #CARvLEI— Brian O'Sullivan (@bosman94) August 31, 2018
A well deserved win in terms of tactical intervention and determination, but fundamentals left a lot to be desired.
Still I’d argue that’s easily fixed, especially at this stage of the season.
Killian O'Criodain
That #Leinster Jersey is disgusting. You wouldn't get that shite with #Canterbury #Pro14 #CBLvLEI #CARvLEI— Aidan (@AidanFar) August 31, 2018
Thought the lads in the studio were dire. They really need a proper anchor. Camerawork was awful. Several key moments were missed because the producer wasn't on the ball.
Toland is a good co commentator.
As for they performance, 5 points is not to be sniffed at.
