Seán MacDonnchadha Backrow and back three almost impossible to formulate now given the amount of quality

Sarah Colton Irwin 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Martin Loughrey Bellissimo

Tony Hatton Great display larmour stole the show

Derek Tormey Kearney has to be in trouble now. For all his defensive flaws, you have to give larmour the space to run at 15. Stockdale and Earls on the wings.

Keith Mongan Still think Joe will pick RK for the big upcoming games but Larmour is the future and he'll have a long career in the green jersey.

Catherine Kearney The game was reasonably as expected with guys getting a chance to show what they are made of. What stood out for me was the resilience shown by Irish born Ian McKinley plying for Italy in goggles after such an appalling eye injury.

Andrew Potts Solid performance, kept their shape well through the game and were rewarded when they tired and the game was gone from them. Some players did themselves a lot of good. Leinster will probably lose Lamour in the off season to the Chicago Bears for a few mil as they recruit him as a punt return or wide receiver.

Mick Keogh Good win. We can only play what's in front of us, but let's be real. The days have to be gone now where we big ourselves up when we beat a very poor side. That Italian side was missing a lot of talent. I know we were too, but if we want to be number 1 in the world, we need to move on very quickly from these sort of matches. Bring on Los Pumas and the ABs!

Cian Ó Muilleoir There are limits to what information you can glean from a match like that. But those limits don't apply to Jordan Larmour. Cheat code stuff. Ruddock and Beirne are also pushing for big game starting XV. The halves didn't push through green agenda as heavily in the first half as we'd like, but on the whole all positive.

I'm sending Joe some ibuprofen now in advance of his upcoming selection headaches.

Dónal Foley The goal was to explore our depth while hammering a second string Italy. Job done on both accounts. Sure, the new lads had a poor team in front of them, but they still had to beat them and they got the job done.

Zohar Lee Slow start, but like larmour put on the burners in the second half. Can't understand why certain commentators are so worried about 15, no Kearney, play Carberry (or does everyone want to forget that's where he made his name playing at Leinster) or Larmour...

Many thanks to all who offered opinions.

Look out Monday for our match writeup JLP
