Craig Walker Massive improvement. Healy, Conan & Ryan outstanding. Some great work from Hendy & funnily enough Stockdale in the tight. Sexton & Murray looking more settled. Best everywhere. Ringrose & Earles sniping. Thought Aki was quiet.

Fred Canales Glad to see Ireland bouncing back

Sean MacDonnchadha Still making all those unforced errors, dropped passes and then after all the build up to let the foot off the pedal and to concede twice in 5 minutes against 14 players with no possession. If we do that against wales we’ll be battered.

Liam Ó Murchú Owed them for the first 60-70min

Cian Ó Muilleoir Yes, the accuracy is still a little off the heights that were hit last year. But the patience was there, the defence was there, and the self belief seems to be back.

Some fantastic individual performances, but wouldn't be knocking the overall team performance either.

Back on the upswing, and I'm a happy camper.

Lorraine Matthews France's defense was superb under the amount of pressure Ireland put on them. Would have loved to see a bigger point spread, however. That first half felt like a full 80 minutes, didn't it??

Andrew Potts Sexton and Murray performing 10% below their best. Better hope Best does not get injured as Ireland reverted to last game, their cohesion disappeared when Bests calm authority left the paddock. Is POM too emotional in leadership for the modern process driven game? It certainly seemed to affect his game, he left the door open for the first French try. On the plus side Ireland regained their physicality.

Warren Feighery It was good in patches. But very pedestrian at times. The worst close to a game in a while. Very disappointing.

But a bonus win is all we could get.

Still think some players need more of an opportunity game time wise. Conan was excellent when he came on. Carty looks hungry to do something.

Richard Mifsud This match must be viewed in the context of the previous three performances. Compared to that it was a real step up. That said, France were poor and allowed us a much needed confidence boosting BPW. There is still a great deal of work to do as that was very far from a polished performance. In a perverse way I’m glad we conceded the two late tries because otherwise a 26 - 0 bashing of France would have papered over the cracks. Pleased with the BPW but let’s just say that the Ireland team that played the ABs last year would have caused the scorer to go sick from exhaustion totting up the Ireland tries. #COYBIG 🏉☘️

Josephine Boyd Well done Ireland COYBIG ❤️☘️🇮🇪🏈☘️👍

Joe Sheppard We were FAR from razor sharp...... we failed to use width, failed to exploit 6 or 7 Try scoring opportunities today. That said, a massive improvement and it's a good grounding for next week against Wales. Some OUTSTANDING individual performances turning around recent games. CJ, Healy, Ryan, Conan, Ringrose...... all great today. A win and an upbeat energy & confidence. Happy with that lads 😉😎😉

(reply to Joe Sheppard)
Ted Phil Turner  very poor to ship 14 points at the end, and it seemed they had to work very hard through the phases to get some of the points.
That said, they stuck with the kicks instead of taking the easy 3 points and it paid off.
They’ll need to be a lot better against Wales

Trevor Darling A big step up from the last couple of games, France were poor because they had no possession in the first half, and when they did start to get some the game was over.
Pack excellent particularly the 2nd rows, Church and CJ, Best is so underrated as a captain and his presence on the field, Larmour still not comfortable under the high ball and we still looked a wee bit panicky in handling during broken play, notwithstanding the weather conditions.
Next week will be a big test....

Darren Bayliss Extremely laboured win and far from comprehensive, let in two very soft tries. Whilst they go to Wales with a hope of still winning the 6N the Welsh I fear will crush them a little like England did, that fear of the Irish team is long gone sadly

Sean Michaels Thought the ref was very lenient with the yellow card. Why did he award the try when it was obvious he had no clear sight, surely he should’ve gone to TMO first. Don’t know who ended up as Captain for the last 15 minutes but some questionable decisions made which cost us points. Sexton looked nearly back to his best which is good news

Mark Sandys Execution was average, how many times did we have a 5 metre scrum / line out but blew it. Lots of dropped balls. France are dreadful. England smacked them by 36 point differential..ours 12. We just don’t have enough grunt or imagination in the backs to really dominate teams. Ringrose for all he’s worth never makes a searing break, Aki is a workhorse, Earls never makes more than 10m and is prone to error

Conor Cronin Ref should've binned one of their lads when he conceded the penalty again. Try scoring shouldn't counteract his warning.
Ireland could've put 40 on them if they'd been more clinical and accurate they would have.
All that said, a much more positive and aggressive performance, lots of lads showing their mettle in a way that's been lacking since November.

Elizabeth Hackett Yahoooooooooooooooooo.

James Griffin Shows how far we’ve travelled that we have cause for concern after a win against France. Happy with it but a bit flat about their two tries. We need to narrow the gap between the starting and finishing 15 to realize our RWC ambitions of getting beyond that quarter final stage, in my opinion.

Alan Murphy A win. Blunt attack for the opportunities we had.

Many thanks to all who offered opinions.

Look out Monday for our match writeup JLP
