Andrew Hayes Clear heads not there today. Saracens put us under so much pressure with or without the ball. We fought hard but 3 bad decisions cost us in the end. McGrath not killing the ball, Ringrose not going wide and Larmour coming in for Saracens first try when unnecessary. Very little kicking from hand which allowed Saracens to charge at everything. All being said, we had no answers in 2nd half. Well done Leinster, you kept going right to the end.
Tom O'Donaghue Ref was poor gutted for my beloved leinster but the best team won. Sloppy mistakes tho I must say but what a game. Test match intensity. Hopefully win next week
Absolutely HEARTBROKEN #LEIvSAR #JoinTheRoar #ForeverIrishRugby— ZoeyLouise.x0 (@Zoeyylouuise0x) May 11, 2019
Martin Nunan Sarries play a physical game and took their chances. My frustration is how they are refereed, neck tackles, off side, deliberate slowing down of the ball, not called.
Leinster today lost this through their errors, not kicking ball out on 40mins, throwing several intercept passes & not taking 4 man overlap all cost them dearly. Can't win them all, we will come back stronger
Tom Clarke Can’t blame the ref. We were nowhere near good enough. They were faster in the defensive line and we were predictable and slow.
From 10-3 up & a handy exit, to being 10-10 at HT & then being dominated in the second half is tough to take but its only our first lost in five finals so we take the good with the bad & know we will come again @leinsterrugby— Graeme of Thrones ♿ (@Biscuits1984) May 11, 2019
Congrats @Saracens #LEIvSAR
Conor Cronin Saracens knew from the semi what they could get away with with Garces, and played the fine lines and it worked for them.
You can't not score for that long and hope to win. And small margins, as mentioned already, the end of the first half not getting rid of the ball, not paying when players were available... It's those little things and they make the difference. Saracens got the rub off the green and played very well so fair play to them (doesn't mean I like them in any way though!)
Marie O' Flynn Leinster great. Not as strong as Sarecens. C'mon Leinster ....still hopeful for the pro 14
Thought all week Saracens by 3. Doesn’t make it any easier to take though. Love our lads, never leave us wanting. #COYBIB— Elephant St🌐ne (@al_mackeroo) May 11, 2019
Damian Coleman Turning point was 41 mins. If ball had been put into touch and we’d gone in 10-3 up I think we could have controlled the second half. Also when we got into the corner in the second half ball came too quickly out of the rolling maul. But that’s sport. Sarries made the most of the momentum and are worthy winners.
Darren Austin Saracens played the same way they did against Munster ,hard , constant and controlled (for the most part ) . If they had started the game , as they played in the second half they would have had more points . Fully deserved the win , the ref did ok .
Billy deserved the MOM , but George kruis and Liam Williams where up there too .
Congratulations to @Saracens on their victory today. Deserved winners on the day, massive respect, massive performance. Well done @leinsterrugby great performance, we’ll be back next year. On to next week and we go again. #coybib— stephen nolan (@stephennolan17) May 11, 2019
Paul Smith Disappointed but the better side won today. They were superb in Defence, out musseled us and took their chances. Should have put the ball out at 10-3 at half time bit ultimately that wasn't the deciding factor. They were just a bit better today and we have to accept that. Hopefully we can win the Pro14 and still pick up silverware this season. Congratulations to Saracens and I'm proud of the effort of everyone in a blue jersey today, who gave their all. We drive for 5 again next season! Allez Les Bleus !!!
Dónal Foley The most disappointing bit is I feel it was Leinster mistakes that was the difference. We were about matched otherwise.
Sarries deserving winners in #ChampionsCupFinal but let's enjoy these @leinsterrugby lads while we still have them #COYBIB— Francie Gorman (@francie_gorman) May 11, 2019
Richard Mifsud Saracens thoroughly deserved that. They were the better team today and I didn’t see anything in our play that suggested we could beat them. This is an arms race and we need to evolve again, which I am sure we will. So congrats Saracens. I just hope we respond as champions do to this setback by having a proper crack at the Pro 14 title #COYBIB 🏉🔵👊🏻
Alison Moore We looked slow in comparison. We stood off while they were up in our faces. I don’t like the way they play but they are bloody effective at it. We made the wrong decision at a few crucial junctures that made the task even harder than it already was. Better team on the day won but I’m still very glad to be a Leinster supporter and not a Saracens supporter!
Wasn't to be today but still so proud of @leinsterrugby. The drive for five continues. #COYBIB 💙— Samantha Cromar (@SamanthaC86) May 11, 2019
Reenen Stenekamp Two giants went at each other and as the saying goes, defence wins finals. It's tough on Leinster to say that though because their defence lacks nothing. But on the day, Saracens maybe defended better. A pity that there has to be a losing team on a stage such as this one.
Colin Mehigan We were outplayed and (sadly) outcoached. Some individuals had poor, poor games. But we deserved to come second.
Best team won. No complaints no arguments.— Tom (@LeinsterRoyalty) May 11, 2019
Absolutely gutted though.
DeeDee O'Malley Better team won, congrats Saracens
Gerald Williamson Noticed that the Saracens ball carriers had much quicker support than when a Leinster player had the ball. Leinster did not exploit grubber kicks behind the Saracens rush defence enough. Saracens were the better team. They sucked the Leinster pack in & then whipped the ball out wide leaving Leinster caught out wide.
@Saracens were deserved winners but @leinsterrugby did have a number of opportunities and just didn’t take them. Sarries defense, particularly in the second half was immense. Well done Sarries. We will be back. #LeivSar #ChampionsCup— Hugh Mullen (@hughpmullen) May 12, 2019
Cian Ormond Surprised that Itoje didn't get a second card. Credit to Saracens though, their attack had more imagination than ours.
Aoibhin Kenny Outplayed by a better team. True Garcès made some bad decisions (as usual against Leinster) but not the reason we lost. Devastated 😢

So that's what a loss feels like#LEIvSAR
🙈🤢😂
But you are all so lovely it kind of matters a tiny bit less. X
Craig Williamson Out-mussled & smothered in defences.
Garces didn't have a good game but that aside, Saracens were more hungrier.
Credit to the Leinster lads though, they kept going until the final whistle!
Odran John OBrien You really only have to say well done Saracens
Congrats to Sarries. Wasn't wild about Itoje not seeing 2nd yellow and some other Garcès decisions but there was more to the match than that. We kept them scoreless for 35m they did it back to us for the rest. Worthy champs. #LEIvSAR— Harpin' On Rugby 🏉 (@HarpinOnRugby) May 11, 2019
