IRELAND 41-12 ITALY (U20S) 3 tries from the kickoff promised a whopper score was on the cards, but a few mistakes crept in and the Italians put 12 on the board. Still, led by a rejuvenated Peter Nelson and a superb solo effort from Luke McGrath, Mike Ruddock's men gave themselves a fighting chance of winning the group; it's down to the Baby Boks v England now. Has been an excellent pool campaign by the Wolfpuppies.
- As it turned out South Africa did beat England but got the 4th bonus point try which means they win the pool on 11pts with Ireland a more than respectable 2nd on 10 and England on 9. The Wolfpuppies ironically play England in the 5th-8th place playoffs (this Sunday, 4pm irish time).
