Bank of Ireland have launched a new competition that could put the name of your company on the jerseys of the Leinster or Munster rugby teams in two Heineken Cup games.

The 'Sponsor for a Day' competition, valued at €50,000, will enable one lucky winner to sponsor the Leinster rugby team and another business to sponsor Munster during key Heineken Cup games.

The competition is open to all businesses, offering them the opportunity to win a sponsorship package at a Munster or Leinster Heineken Cup game in January.

The prize includes the winner's company logo on the players' jerseys during a Heineken Cup match in front of a huge audience both at the games and on TV, as well as coverage in the Irish Independent.

The full prize includes – the winner's company logo on the front of the jerseys; pitch signage; corporate hospitality for 10 people; a match programme advert; photographs with the team; and profiling support from Bank of Ireland.

The selected games are Munster versus Edinburgh at Thomond Park, Limerick, and Leinster versus Osprey in Dublin this January.

Entries can be made through Independent.ie from today and participants can enter over the next month.

The panel of judges includes Munster rugby chief executive Garret Fitzgerald, Leinster rugby chief executive Mike Dawson, Irish Independent columnist Richard Curran and Gerry Prizeman, who is head of small business at Bank of Ireland Business Banking.

"This is a wonderful branding and profiling opportunity for two lucky business customers that should be of enormous value to their business," said Mr Prizeman.

"The competition is open to all businesses in Ireland, regardless of whether they are Bank of Ireland customers or not. We are delighted to make this opportunity available to help drive support for business customers within the context of the bank recognising its key role in supporting and building momentum for businesses nationwide."

To enter, participants have to answer a simple question: 'Name one rugby province that Bank of Ireland sponsors?' and complete a tiebreaker: 'Tell us why your business should be on the front of the Leinster/ Munster jersey?' (in less than 200 words). Entries must be submitted by November 20. The winners will be announced on December 16.
