Last night we were made aware by multiple sources of a video clip currently on YouTube titled “Wayne Barnes CHEATS to give Wales the win v Ireland 2015”.
As we all know the internet is home to a vast array of opinion (and long may that continue) yet often certain viewpoints can be attributed to the entire population of a particular subset (in this case, Irish rugby fans) so we felt the need to make this clarification.
We would like to make it clear that this website had nothing to do with the production of this video, we do not endorse it and we have no intention of publishing a link to it here on the site nor via any of our social media channels. Some may leave links as comments but we will endeavour to delete them at every turn.
Our own opinion on the refereeing from the Wales v Ireland match was contained in our writeup last Monday. We appreciate that the Irish coaching staff have taken measures with a view to addressing their refereeing concerns and we would not wish in any way to be seen to hinder that process. We have no intention to comment further on the matter for the time being.
Instead we are keen to look ahead to what promises to be an exciting set of fixtures this coming Saturday as the destination of the 2015 RBS Six Nations Championship is decided.
Regards,
