Even a Leinster-centric site couldn’t review this match without applauding the visitors’ efforts which aren’t reflected by the score. Superb line speed and a good nudge in the scrum had the score just 6-6 until the stroke of halftime when Cathal Marsh finally unlocked the D before Dooley charged over. After the break the floodgates opened with Beirne, O’Shea (2), Kelleher and Burke-Flynn dotting down. Ealing couldn’t maintain the intensity for 80 minutes though York deserved his late consolation try.
