The big money deals for teams like these don’t come without their pressures. Victor Matfield didn’t quite cope with his today and the pass he threw to Dulin for try number 3 wasn’t his only no-no. Dan Carter on the other hand managed his Parisian debut with a polished display though his back three featured heavily in the 5-try haul. Saints will need a turnaround like that against Leinster in 2013 to stay in the running to top this pool.
