France v Japan [8-0-review]

FRANCE 23-23 JAPAN

An absorbing test lit up by the entertaining philosophy shown by Japan at Racing’s new home.  Despite being roughed up a bit in the forwards and failing to score with a 10m man advantage, their overall positivity had them ahead three different times and had outhalf Tamura not pulled a simple late conversion wide, they would’ve won.  Meanwhile the ‘What’s wrong with France?’ narrative persists...Trinh-Duc was steady enough at 10 but they’ll want to improve before Ireland's visit in February.
