Portugal beat Czech Republic 45 – 12 to progress to the next round of qualifying. They will now play the 2nd place team in the Rugby Europe Championship in a play-off, as things stand that is Spain. The winner of that play-off will move on to the Europe/Oceania play-off against Samoa. The winner of that play-off qualifies for the World Cup, the loser goes to the Repechage. The Rugby Europe Championship continues on February 10th 2018.
