Rugby Europe Championship Round 3
Georgia 23 – 10 Spain
Games involving Georgia have no bearing on the 2019 Rugby World Cup qualifying table. Georgia led at halftime, with Suso Matiashvili kicking two penalties to Mathieu Peluchons one.
In the second half Georgia were awarded a penalty try in the 54th minute. There was plenty of late drama as Feorgia had David Kacharava sent to the bin before Lionel Tuli crossed over for Spain. Georgia had the last say, Giorgi Melikidze crossed over, Matiashvili converted. Spain have never beaten Georgia in Georgia.
Romania 25 – 15 Russia
Russia can no longer qualify for the World Cup after defeat in Romania. The home side were awarded aa penalty try in the 6th minute. Dmitri Gerasimov got one back for Russia at the half-hour mark before Yuri Kushnarev kicked a penalty. Valentin Calafeteanu kicked a penalty for Romania.
Romania got a try early in the second half when Stephen Shennan got over. Ramil Gaisin touched down for Russia, Kushnarev converted. Romania got two ore tries through Paula Kinikinilau and Eugen Căpățână. Romania move top of the qualifying table, having played a game more than Spain.
Belgium 69 – 15 Germany
Belgium continued their run of having never lost to Germany at home. Alan Williams converted 6 of Belgiums tries. The scoring started in the 2nd minute with a try from Charles Reynaert. Wynston Cameron-Dow kicked a penalty for Germany, before Julien Berger got over for Begliums second. Further tries from Williams, Maxime Jadot, Guillaume Piron, and Gillian Benoy had Belgium well in control.
Vincent Hart and Piron touched down in the second half to extend the lead. Germany got their first try of the campaign through Jens Listmann. Sven d’Hooghe got another for Belgium. Sam Harris got Germanys second, Cameron-Dow kicked the conversion. The final try was scored by Ryeynaert. This was Belgiums 3rd highest score in a test match.

The winners of the Rugby Europe Trophy will play the 6th placed team in the Rugby Europe Championship in a relegation/promotion play-off.
Netherlands 71 – 30 Poland
Netherlands scored 11 tries, the most they’ve ever scored in one game. This was the biggest score they have ever achieved in a test match. Huey van Vliet scored a hattrick while Liam McBride kicked 16 points.
