Online comments after Leinster v Ospreys

A selection of the “keyboard warrior” reactions after the full-time whistle of our featured matches of the weekend.

Conor Cronin You'd have got deadly odds on the other Kelleher getting a hat trick! Cracking intensity and drive from the lads. Really wanted that result and put great effort in to get it

Gerald Williamson With Ospreys shipping a few injuries, it became a bit of one way traffic for Leinster. Its good to see some ' young guns' coming through and challenging for place when the RWC Leinster boys return. Will Leo & Stuart be spoilt for choice, only time will tell.

Richard Mifsud I know Ospreys were poor on the night and they had injuries in the game but you still have to score the 53 points. Quite apart from the performance on both sides of the ball which I thought was very good, I was seriously impressed by our young guns and a particular fly half who controlled the orchestra. Scott Fardy’s calming influence and leadership was palpable. Tomane’s second good shift and I’m really happy for him. Biggest take away from the game is the team confidence and philosophy I just wish we could bottle it and send it to Japan 🤷🏻‍♂️

Andrew Bailey Take nothing away from a really good Leinster performance. But you have to be concerned at the standard of Pro14 Rugby. How does such poor opposition provide the level of rugby needed to improve our squad to compete in Europe

Cormac Mannion I thought our back row were superb. Connors, Penny and Dorris ... there's a combination for the future. Combine that with Baird, Dunne and Ryan (not forgetting Deegan) and we should remain a force to be reckoned with.

Gotta feel sorry for the Ospreys though. Their strength in depth has suffered over the last few years and they're nowhere near the side they were for the first decade of the league. Tough time for them

Paul Smith Remember when they used to be our bogey side? The wasn't so much a gap in class as a chasm. Leinster were excellent this evening. The strength in depth is incredible, brilliant to see so many players scoring their first tries tonight and of course a special mention for hat trick hero Mr. Kelleher, who had a great game and fully deserved his MOM. I was also very imptsses by Connors and Tomane had an excellent game too. Very happy Leinster fan tonight.

Hubert Gallagher Good performance against a very poor opposition. Really pleased for Joe Tomane who looks to have put his injuries behind him and had a really good game with some great defensive reads and carries. Surprisingly James Lowe looked a little off the pace and made a few uncharacteristic errors but I’m sure will benefit from some more game time. Dorris looks a fine prospect as does Deegan so plenty of back row competition at 6, 7, and 8! Great hatrick by Kelleher but perhaps more importantly his darts were all bang on target. Gibson-Park was super - would like to have seen him in Irish squad in Japan. Lots to look forward to this season but much tougher games to come!

Colin Mehigan Going out on a limb to predict Connors, Doris and Kelleher will be in the 6 Nations squad

Dave Murray Some excellent attacking rugby although the Ospreys didn't help themselves at time. Kelleher looks some play.

Anton Phelan Why stick with an injured Joey when they could have Ross or even his brother 😜

Sean Dempsey Can we fly them over to Japan?

Many thanks to all who offered opinions.

Look out Monday for our match writeup JLP
