9 tries and 5 new caps, but still plenty for the video analysis session? Happy out.

Impressive debuts from Ireland's 4 new stars tonight. Hard to believe Porter, Ryan & Stockdale were all in U20s RWC only last year#USAvIRE— Miriam Collins (@MiriamCol) June 10, 2017
Keith Earls looking like Julian Savea kind of sums up how bad USA were.

#rugby Ireland defeat US Eagles 55-19. Solid display, confident and positive and great to see several new players debut in the green jersey— richard mulligan (@r_mulligan1) June 10, 2017
4 years ago we beat them 12-15. In the RWC in 2011 with a full strength squad we beat them 22-10. Yet today, with around 15 players missing while playing in heat and away from home we beat them 19-55 having missed 8 points from the tee and gifting them 2 tries that they didn't deserve.
Given the squad, the end of season timing and the addition of guest coaches this was never going to be a perfect game. Yet we thumped them scoring 9 tries. I'll take that any day!

Satisfying win for Ireland and decent debuts for Stockdale, Porter, Scannell and Ryan. Earls MOM for me.— Ian Frizzell (@rava_ian) June 10, 2017
Joey Carbury still has a lot to learn. Let in 2 trys which should not have being there. Picked the wrong place & time to do the dink kicks.

Well done Ireland @IrishRugby ☘️🇮🇪#USAVIRE— Selena G✨ (@SelenaG86x) June 10, 2017
Joey Carbery doing that in game 1 of a 3 game tour with Joe Schmidt will help him develop even further. Huge learnings for the new caps. Which is the whole point of this tour, from our perspective.

Acceptable performance from Ireland, not enough covfefe from America.

Hard fight at the end, missed connections should be fine tuned by Canada. Gotta beat Georgia first.— American Rugby Pod (@AmericaRugbyPod) June 10, 2017
Needs to be looked at in perspective. This is a developmental tour. Some players shone, some didn't but what is important is that both types learn from this and develop further. I've seen an awful lot of vicious criticism of Joey Carbery, which I feel is unjustified. He didn't have his best game at 10 but it wasn't his worst. the two tries he gifted were born from an offensive mentality, which he was no doubt instructed to execute. What he needs to learn is that whereas it's very good to play flat on the offensive, there are occasions where you need to play deeper and JC is a good enough player to take this on board and move on. Other than that I felt our best players were Keith Earls and Jack Conan. Also pleasing to see Luke McGrath play a very good cameo especially as he wasn't up to his best in the latter stages of the PRO12 Rugby and European Rugby Champions Cup. I know we focus on Ireland here but a short mention on the Eagles. Very brave to keep at it but quite disappointing TBH. I've seen them play an awful lot better before and I hope they can push up because I really think they are a sleeping giant of our sport.

Must say I enjoyed that match. Wasn't 100% from Ireland but good experience for a mostly young squad #USAvIRE— Harpin' On Rugby 🏉 (@HarpinOnRugby) June 10, 2017
