Great effort by the ladies in green but France are a class act. Fantastic tournament so far!!

Wow the skill level from France is fantastic— Brent Pope (@RealBrentPope) August 17, 2017
Superior French side. The ladies gave it their all in the second lots of unforced errors cost us dearly but delighted to see them get some points

Ireland have had a much better second half - held France scoreless- but the lack of variety in their attack has killed them. Frustrating— Scrumqueens #wrugby (@ScrumQueens) August 17, 2017
100% effort.

We've just not been at the races this tournament. Never really gpt off the starting block.France defence absolutely immense in the second half and ours just not good enough in the first half. Too many errors from Ireland throughout the tournament. We need to get the basics right.

Heartbreaking for @IrishRugby ladies to go out this way. The French team were thoroughly clinical throughout attack and defence.— Ken Sutton (@kensutz) August 17, 2017
They put everything in to it in the second half but we were just too one dimensional. Going twenty phases is great and all but when you pick and go/hit up at first reciever every time you don't trouble a side like France. Management really need to look at the tactics and what will actually work.
Still though. Tournament isn't over yet. Would be great to see them get 5th and win a few games in Belfast

A great effort by the Irish ladies team especially in the second half. They were up against a professional French team that showed up the difference in class & handling skills. To be honest, Irish women's rugby skills has a lot of catching up to do compared to English, French & Kiwi women's rugby.

Well done to France, played really well for that. But it's really plucky amateurs against professionals isn't it? Big big Irish hearts— Fromtheruck (@Fromtheruck) August 17, 2017
In my opinion they look like a team poorly coached

Why is it that Irish players, men and women, tend to look for contact rather than space? Loads of possession but our players sought contact and were tackled to a standstill. I thought the tactics were somewhat naive against Australia and again tonight against France. That's a management issue to resolve. Can't fault the players’ efforts though; they gave it their best shot. Delighted they got the try.

Commiserations to our women players & mgmt - superb attitude & effort to the end,as we expect. Credit to a brilliant French team. #IREvFRA— Colin Moran (@CollieMoRugby) August 17, 2017
You couldn't fault Ireland for effort but they just couldn't live with France in the first half. I got the feeling that Ireland are just not used to playing top class opposition, we need to be playing against quality more often.

The post-mortem will be tough for Ireland - the critique they so badly craved last World Cup has already begun in earnest. #WRWC2017— FAIR GAME Podcast (@FairGameCast) August 18, 2017
Dreadfully one dimensional and not a hint of "heads up" rugby in 3 matches. You cannot fault effort or commitment but a real lack of skilful footballers in that side sadly.
Brian Patrick Donnelly
Much better from Ireland in 2nd half but sadly still not good enough. French certainly brought it, good luck to them in SFs. #WRWC2017— Harpin' On Rugby 🏉 (@HarpinOnRugby) August 17, 2017
