It’s time for Ulster to dig deep, writes Kristian Ross…
Ulster were on the end of another defeat in the RaboPRO12, this time at the hands on Edinburgh at Murrayfield on Friday night.
Previous games between the two indicated that the match was a foregone conclusion for an Ulster side who saw returning players such as Jared Payne and Nick Williams.
But a poor performance again from the Ulstermen and despite an Andrew Trimble try there was nothing much to smile about as Ulster have now slipped to third in the PRO12.
It's far from catastrophic, but it isn't where many of us would though Ulster would be going into the closing stages of the season. Some very tough games ahead, league leaders Leinster next week at the RDS in Dublin, and then of the course the much anticipated Heineken Cup quarter final vs Saracens at Twickenham.
Ulster will look for a fresh start next week, and the performances need to improve dramatically, and in a season where many thought Ulster may pick up at least one piece of silverware, they may end up with nothing at all.
But I'm sure the faith as always is being kept, and a word to all other clubs. It isn't over yet.
Stand Up For The Ulstermen.
