The Springboks were too much for Scotland in the first-half, a debatable try from Burger got them on their way. Duncan Weir turned the tide in the second-half, intercepting a pass and making his way deep into Springbok territory, a quick bit of handball was followed by Seymour putting the Scots within 7, but Laidlaws sin binning stunted their momentum. Pollards kicking kept Scotland at bay, and Habanas try sealed the win for the Springboks, now top of Pool B.
