EXETER CHIEFS 37-7 LONDON IRISH
Reigning champions from English rugby’s top two tiers went head-to-head at Sandy Park and from the kickoff it wasn’t hard to tell which was which. Irish had much 2nd half possession but were already 23-0 down and any consolation from Lewington’s late try was wiped out by even later ones from Woodburn and Armand (his second). Exeter impressed off lineouts in particular with much variety in their attacking options though hopefully Leinster’s defence will put up more resistance in December.
