press statement on behalf of One-Zero 2017
Professional rugby stars Seán O’Brien and Tadhg Furlong have been confirmed as the final two key-note speakers at One-Zero 2017 which takes place at Croke Park on October 17th. The pair will take to the stage together. Tickets for the sports and sports technology conference are now on sale from One-Zero.com priced from €159.
O’Brien and Furlong join an outstanding roster of national and international speakers at the event. Soccer stars Hope Solo and Paul Merson, racing legend AP McCoy and former world heavy-weight champion Frank Bruno had already been confirmed while multiple other speakers will take part in a series of panel discussions.
O’Brien, or the Tullow Tank as he is affectionately known, has played over 100 times for Leinster and is just shy of 50 caps for Ireland. He has also been a tourist with the Lions on two occasions and was key figure in this year’s tied series against the All Blacks in New Zealand.
Furlong was also part of that tour to New Zealand where he won widespread plaudits for his performances in the front row. The 24-year old has been playing for Leinster since 2013 firmly establishing himself as a crowd favourite and is the holder of sixteen caps for Ireland.
Speaking ahead of today’s announcement Seán O’Brien said; “I’m looking forward to being on the stage at One-Zero and hopefully entertaining the guests at the conference.”
Tadhg Furlong added; “It will be great to share a stage with Seán; nice not to have to share a pitch with him for a change and great to have an opportunity to be back at Croke Park”.
