The video, which was filmed back on May 17th at Ardmore Studios in Bray, affords Aer Lingus staff the chance to get behind the team. In total twenty-two Aer Lingus employees from ground staff to engineers to cabin crew were involved in the production which seeks to re-inforce how these two strong Irish brands are ‘together standing tall’ as they strive for continued international success.
Tommy, Rob, Robbie and Conor were specifically chosen as they represent the ‘four proud provinces of Ireland’. The video forms part of the airline’s Green Spirit campaign which has also seen an Aer Lingus aircraft take on a new design that showcases images of the ambassadors.
It has already been screened to Aer Lingus staff and has been given a massive seal of approval.
Laura Fitzsimons, one of the Aer Lingus staff members who took part in the filming of the video was delighted to be involved; “I have always been an Irish rugby fan so it was great to be picked to stand next to the players and sing with them as well. We are looking forward to getting behind the team with our passengers”.
Ross Kennedy, an Aer Lingus pilot, has some previous singing experience; “I was in the local church choir for a while where I was a soloist and I’ve also done some operatic training. It was great to meet the Irish players and take part in this video with the Irish players”.
Aer Lingus have announced a number of ‘Smart Deals’ for Irish rugby fans travelling to support the Irish team in the coming weeks in Cardiff and London. These include:
