A first look at Ireland’s Pool D opponents in this warm-up series...while the Italians showed much enterprise in many areas particularly in backline moves, the execution left a lot to be desired. The introduction of Castrogiovanni excited the Turin crowd but did little for their offence and in a game that badly needed a try it was the Scots who eventually provided the winner when a sweet pass on the run by Scott found Pyrgos to finish on 73m.
