A contest mostly worthy of its billing as a 5th place playoff in a 6-team tournament, though it did have an interesting finish. Dubliner AJ McGinty went from hero to zero and back for the Eagles, kicking 4 pens to build a 12-6 lead, then seeing yellow after tackling Hassler in mid-air which gave Canada the space to get the game’s only try. But he redeemed himself with a match-winning drop goal at the death meaning Canada’s 80-minute issues remain.
