Scrums, lineout, breakdown, you name it...the Romanian forwards enjoyed much superiority in the first half, but their backs simply couldn’t capitalise. And once a Romanian prop saw yellow, France showed they could take advantage with two quick tries giving them a 17-6 halftime lead. Second period took time getting going until powerful finishes from Guitoune (his second) and Fofana secured the bonus. A late mauled Romanian try brought much celebration but then Fickou slipped through for a flattering fifth.
