Los Teros with only a handful of professional players, started strong in an overall spirited performance, dominating much of the breakdown to initially lead 6 - 0 against a depleted Welsh side looking flat, frustrated, at times sloppy with a worrying number of high tackles. As predicted in the Pool A Preview youngsters Cory Allen and Hallam Amos showed their worth and together with a strong pack saw Wales run in 8 tries to gain an unconvincing BP win 54 - 9.
